Hi is kapral Stanisław Korzeniewski, 3 Squadron, Command Squadron. He was born 21 IX 1914 in Bielsk Podlaski
He died 29 III 1945 in a car accident.

He was awarded "Brązowy Krzyż Zasługi z Mieczami" and "Krzyż Pamiątkowy Monte Cassino" (Monte Cassino Cross)

I have checked my documents and one was given posthumously
(he died in August 44)
and on Legitymacja there is Ś.p.

Take look at the Legitymacja posted by Itakdalej
Ś.p. Pogorzelski Alexander died 19.VII.44 S.Constanzo,
and there is Ś.p. on the Legitymacja.
We would have to look at the documents of solder that
died after March 1944. And see if there is Ś.p.

According to Padre Studziński's Guide on Polish War Cemeteries in Italy (Adam Studziński, Przewodnik po Polskich Cmentarzach Wojennych we Włoszech, Kraków 1994) p. 124, kapral Stanisław Korzeniowski of the 4th Armoured Rgt, born on September 21, 1914 in Bielsk Podl. died on March 29, 1946 and his grave can be found at the Polish War Cemetery in Bologna under the number 7-O-5.

Yes, it was common to issue documents posthumously, especially concerning various decorations. The biggest collection of such posthumous documents is located in the Central Military Archives in Warsaw, where personal effects of about 1700 PSZ deceased soldiers are kept. They were passed from the British Government in 2003.
