About the Polish paratroopers ? On D-DAy ?

Hello gentlemen,
A friend of mine asks me if there were Polish paratroopers during the Overlord operations ?
He said that a family says that the grand-father was in Normandy.
A Special Air Service operation ?
Would it be possible that a (or several ?) Polish paratrooper(s) has (have) been in Normandy, on 9th June 1944 ?
I have never read such an information...

Hello.
Do you have the name or other details?
There was one Polish officer serving under British command in Glider Pilot Regiment who took a part in glider ops in Normandy (his name was Jerzy Rostworowski).
There was also another Polish officer from 1st Parachute Brigade who took a part in airborne operation in France with British 2nd Parachute Brigade. I don't remember his name at this moment. Will have to check it.
