never have i seen this maker on ww2 forces
looks maybe as post war.....?

I dont know if the eagle badge is pre-war or exile (There were pre-war eagles that look very similar to exile ones) if its pre-war then it might of been used by Polish forces who escaped to France in 1939 as far as I know they were issued black berets like this.

The beret is neither British nor French issue. Take a close look at the label: note the Warsaw Mermaid. I think this is a Veterans item.

Good eyes Ade!
Maybe it was used by Polish tankers in 1939 as they wore black berets but I think they mostly wore black cloth eagles and not metal eagles..

I would at at guess go for a more Middle-East manufacturer ..
Possibly 1SBK ? or 2nd Corp ?

something does not add up

the eagle is typical gaunt one
the beret maybe from 1940, certainly very unused to be from that campaing, looks un issued
and repeating question, as anyone seen this beret used before? I have not..
To me seems maybe some sort of 50s or even 60s beret, possibly veteran association.
does not seem to be ww2 time period
please correct me if i am wrong

Without a "hands on", I would be very careful. !
This might have surfaced via "greybear55" on e-bay who has been pumping out some suspect Polish stuff as well as British cloth items.
With the amount that he has been selling, the market for these has been flooded, and no doubt, some examples will be on their 2nd or 3rd time round .. so be aware !
