I have yet to find a Canadian made beret in a known genuine and attributed Polish vet grouping. Invariably you find products of Kangol Wear Ltd, Beret Industries Ltd., British Beret Basque, and G&J Gelfer (1SBS). That’s not to say that it did not belong to a Polish vet, but at the same time the market is flooded with made up pieces using period parts. Without any solid provenance that what this beret is destined to be considered. I like the Polish word for such pieces – the dreaded “składak”.

Hello Everyone,
Whilst surfing the internet today I found the following KW, which is being sold as Original and Numbered, except for one thing it is a post 1991 KW with number applied on the reverse as shown in the photos below.
Buyer Beware!
KW obverse
KW reverse Numbered 5510
To add some age to the cross the Eagle on the obverse and the wreath on the reverse have been worn down to portray age.
Best wishes
Andrzej
for me is orginal, condition is strange but numbers is after.
Hello Tomek,
Many thanks for your post as you can see in the side by side comparison an Original KW and the one for sale on Allegro
You can clearly see the differences :
1) The Cross guard of the Sword and the pommel
2) The bar in the Letter A
3) The style of the Numbering
I hope that this helps you and clears up any confusion
Best wishes
Andrzej
