Wow! Amazing price. Unique grouping, congratulations to whoever acquired those beauties.

Anyway, anyone here able to assess below uniform? This one gives me headache. Shoulder titles look goofy, the wing doesn't look bad though... what do you think?

Here's a side by side to a genuine 1PAMot just sold the other day.

Gentleman, what do you think about this RAF cap? Good?

A cautious thumbs up for the eagle, although I have my concerns about the cap. Period chin straps were typically of patent leather, and very narrow. The visor shape is also indicative of post war construction. Wartime production visors were generally “flattened” at the front. I’m also very wary of the grey sweatband, among other things.

This is not always an easy judgment call as these hats were privately made by several makers and details varied. If I was in the market for one of these I would pass this one by unless the price was less than or equal to the market value of the eagle.
