British crash helmet with Polish insignia - opinions needed

Article about: Hello, What do you think about this helmet? I've never had one like this but judging from the photos it seems to be ok. I’ll be very grateful for any opinion and comment. Best regards Maciek

    I believe this is an early WW2 tank helmet.

    I found this photograph of Generals Sikorski and Klimecki attending 1st Armoured Division exercises in Scotland, thought that it might be of interest

    Looks like the same helmet shell outline, but with a different chin strap and without the leather pad on the outside.

    Here are some previous threads on RAC crash helmets with great contributions from Tinlid and Reneblacky. The Polish insignia certainly looks period to me, however, I have not been able to find any wartime images with the crest on

    The pic kindly provided by Andrzejku shows the French M35 armoured issue helmet:

    The helmet shown at the start of this thread is original, but the key here is the insignia. I think I would like an in hand inspection to be sure. Polish helmet insignias are widely faked.

    I have also come across this photograph from the Army Museum in Warsaw the display containing the Uniforms of General Broni Sikorski and General Brygady Klimecki, what is of interest is the Helmet on display, I hope that you like it.
