I will hold fire on a comment till the auction has passed !

Welcome to the forum Kazik!
This is a great place to ask any and all questions about authenticity of Polish militaria, although as you can see answers are not always immediate! Rest assured though, you will get an answer. And there’s no one more qualified than Gary to comment on 1SBS badges, so please hang in there . . .
Cheers,
Tony
I'm hanging fire on a comment, as I think it would be inapropriate to make a judgement either way when the numbering looks to be too far gone to possibly ID the badge as good or bad, (which is the critical point in this case !)

I think the final auction price has answered the question !
Well, a record price for a non-combat wing, which has been it the ground for many years !.
And I did not bid !
The wing itself looks to be an early phase issue GR-TECH, but not within the original 1st day of the Brigade issues.
From what I could gleen from the numbers, there was a possibility that the wing belonged to one of about six possibles who MIGHT have been medi-vacced out of Driel back to Birmingham England.
BUT !!!! without positive confirmation of the number, the ID remains blank for now !

Wow - amazing price. I was watching this auction wind down, and was predicting a US$900 close. The gavel came down at US$1288. More proof that Polish militaria market values continue to hold (and increase) despite the global economic doldrums.

I was going to have a bid, but I forgot! But it went totally out of my reach anyway. Congrats to the new owner.
Lets hope the number comes to light.
Cheers, Ade.
If the new owner is "aboard" this forum, and they would like to PM me the number when they receive the badge, ....
I will do my best to confirm any further details ..

Hello everybody,
First - thanks again to Tony and Gary for invitation!
Does it mean that Wehrmacht Awards forum will have minor meaning now?
I was also observing the auction with ordinary para badge.
I asked for better photo of back side of the badge - it looks like 1000.
Greetings
Rafal
