An excuse to wheel out a couple of my old scans again - two insignia, but bearing the same serial number:
I believe that there were 4550 of the breast badges awarded (not counting duplicates as here?).

Hi guys,
I've found this film on youtube accidentally: YouTube - Amazing Grace . Pause at 1:15. There's a bagpiper with a Polish flag displaying the SBSK Tobruk badge. He might be somehow connected with the Rats of Tobruk Association or there's somewhere an Aussie or a British unit carrying on the Carpathian Rifle Brigade tradition...
I hope you don't mind me submiting this post here but it's more or less related to this thread...
Regards,
Tom

Hi
Just to add to the info provided above
According the monumental book – 3DSK (3 Carpathian Division) by Mlotek
Mr Jakub Switalski was a lieutenant and actually earned KW twice.
I think, it is probable that the second KW was awarder for MC Battle as the 1 Battalion was heavily involved in it.
Remarkable on so many counts.....
Within the Kremlin walls no less.
And ya gotta love those Ghurkas !
