Celebrating and remembering the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade on Sunday 28th September at the new memorial in Leven Festival Gardens, designed by local artist David Mach. Display of military vehicles by World War 2 Presentations from 11am. Unveiling and dedication ceremony at 1:45pm.

Memorials to General Sosabowski the Commander of the Polish Parachute Brigade in Driel the village they liberated south of the Lower Rhine.
You will notice they have been put up by the British Arnhem veterans out of respect and honour of Sosabowski and his Poles , Sosabowski was dreadfully and disgracefully treated post Arnhem and post War by the British in particular Boy Browning !!
