    I have looked through the Register of Monte Cassino Cross Reipients and have also checked kresy-siberia without find your Ppor.

    Dziekuje - GREGOLAJTYS JERZY WIKTOR - zmarl w Sutton, UK w 1978 (oct/nov/dec).

    so from Murnau, he probably joined 5KDP.

    Thanks, I have number 234/III along with his name.

    Number 759 is his prisoner number.
    Number XIb is the prisoner camp number.

    1911-234-III is his Army Number.

    Do you know of the database for army numbers ?

    Unfortunately I don't have such a database and I don't know if it exists at all. But from what you wrote in your 6th post I guess that his full Army Number is 1911-234-III because that was the format of the soldiers' registration numbers in the Anders Army.

    I was wondering if the number would allow me to narrow down the exact unit of the 5KDP.
