    The box is:
    W 45mm x L 50mmx H 30mm
    The badge is W 20mm x L 27 mm

    Hope this helps.

This HMAF veteran badge was my mother's who served in the Malaya Emergency 1948 where she met and married my father who was fighting the Chinese backed communist insurgency having enlisted with the Royal Armoured Corps from the PRC and the 4 'Skorpions' Armoured Regiment previously.

    Hi Ade.
I'm writing an article on British insignia used by Polish soldiers and decorations given to them. Unfortunately I don't have this badge in my collection, but I'd like to write some details about it as according to the SPVA website Polish veterans are eligible for the badge.
    Regards,
    Tom

Hi Tom, thanks for your reply. I was just a little concerned as to why you needed the info. I did not want anyone to use the info to make a fake of this current award. I hope you understand my caution. It is only possible for Vets to obtain the badge and it cannot be purchased.

Stefan has provided the info and I will restore his post for you.

    Cheers, Ade.

I am sure this would originally have applied to nearly every item we have purchased in our various militaria collections... from V.M's to more humble awards, decorations and regimental honour badges

    Indeed, that is very true.

It is just that this badge is still being worn today on everyday clothes that makes me cautious. I would hate someone to wear this badge who is not entitled to it.

    Cheers, Ade.
