    Default Information on Polish para?

    Hi all,

I am trying to find archive information about an Eduard Cjaikowski who underwent para training at Brisindi 1944 (may have been SOE course if this was seperate from ordinary training groups) where he was awarded his wings. Anyone have
Eduard Cjaikowski listed in any records of who was awarded jump wings in Italy?

Any help will be much appreciated

I have heard of Polish soldiers trained as paras in the Middle East by the British...and who therefore used British cloth para wings...but up to now didnt hear of this in Brindisi...though why not?

Base "10" - Elba, Italy was the Polish para training base.
I haven't got much info concerning this station, although Polish Para Wings were issued from there.

    Yes, ....
Sometimes there are slight spelling variations in the records, ... but this is definitely him.

    Brilliant!

Many thanks Gary. May I ask what source the info came from? Would it be too much to ask for a scan of the source document page via email?

The late Eduard Cjaikowski was sent on many "special" missions including one to assasinate Rommel in France.

Hi Stefan M and Gary J,
See you were discussing cichociemni Edward Bronisław Czajkowski.
Do you have a photo? If you do, can we compare please?
I think I have one. A contact of mine has another...
Or is there any online source where he is pictured to make a positive id please?
