Hi Guys, I have moved this mega thread here.

I realise there is a mixture of 1939 and Polish Forces in Exile stuff here, but I think this thread really deserves to be within the new dedicated Polish forum in order to get maximum exposure.

If you wish to keep posting in this thread that is fine, but perhaps new individual threads about badges etc would be better as they would be much eaiser for the members to find without doing a search. Many people don't know how to search for items.

Hello,
It is very rare badge but I saw a few of them (same - genuin).

This badge is possibly for 1 SBS NCO School but there is no evidence in docs and pics.

This image was present on both - 1 SBS Officer-Cadet and NCO School certificates 9also other official papers).

There was 2 courses of 1 SBS Officer-cadet schools. The fact is that during 1st course (only!) temporary ID cards for officer-cadets school badges were given (but without any badges)!

So maybe this pattern of badge was proposed for this. But after 2nd course only NCO courses were conducted and the badge might be taken for NCOs.

I heard a story times ago that ex. 1SBS servicemen described this badge as NCO school!

But there is no confirmation.

Yes, this is a very scarce badge. In fact, so scarce that I have only ever seen one example purported to be genuine – as picture below. Yours stack up very well to this one.
