    Greetings Totenhead and congratulations,

I always like looking at these ID'd groupings. Not many around anymore. I can't remember the last time I came across one.

    Thanks for showing.

Congratulations and thanks for the eye candy.

    @48ppsk.
Your collection blows away. I love the pre39 militaria and you have a nice variety. Is the 1920's tunic an allied modification? The leather tankers jacket is an extreme rarity, love it.
It will be greatly appreciated if we could see more pictures of your pre39 items.
    Thanks again

    Greetings Hubal,

I have posted a better photo of the Polish 20's tunic. You can see the rank insignia and the kompanii szturmowych badge much better. It came from Poland back in 2000. I still have the original email from the guy in ZPoland. He described it as a "ka-boom specialist".

The other one is my WW1 Canadian artillery tunic, also getting quite rare to find and expensive when the come up.

That 1920's tunic looks really interesting. Any details ? It doesn't look like field-upgraded US M.1912 tunic ... pockets are different, wool looks "thicker". Collar in new type, like it was resewed. Since few years i'm really interested in geting original polish conversion of M.1912 jacket but at least i haven't seen such a varation or modification of this tunic.

    Greetingsw,

    You have a good eye!!

The original email from August 200o states "mundur is a nice example of early 20s. It is not a wz27 for sure. It is a jacket sewn out of available in this time fabrics, a big possibility from coat."

That is all I know about it.

    Mike,

    I want my tunics back....

Here is a display that I prepared for the Cud na Wisla remembrance in August 2009. At the Pope John Paul II Polish American Cultural Center in Cleveland, Ohio

At this event they honored 9 surviving members of the AK from the Cleveland area.

    Greetings Piwo,

You know they're going back if I decide to get rid of them...

However, you never cease to amaze me with the collection you manage to scrounge up.

I LOVE the Haller army uniforms. I had my eyes on very similar tunics but I didn't pursue. Amazing

    Greetings All,

Here are a couple of other photos.

The shadow boxes are shallow so that the tunics do touch the glass which helps them stay upright better. They are however pinned in strategic areas to keep them upright. One of the 1st Division battle dresses is beginning to sag and I will have to fix it.

I used to have them all on busts, however wanted to find a better way of protecting them from dust, critters, etc.

My favorite tunic is at the office and I will post some photos of it once I take them. My second favorite is the 1920 tunic shown in one of the attached photos. The others show pre-war denim and wool, a naval tunic given to me personally by the vet (no cap as he wanted to be buried with it), and the two 1st Division tunics. The mannequins show the prewar officer and infantry, Hallers army and one 'bad-guy' (German machine gunner as he would have looked on September 1, 1939). The other photo shows my original leather tankers jacket. There is also the bust of the Carpathian lancer lieutenant with full kit including dewat pistol and flare gun. Most of my collection I would have to say is 1940 onwards and I will post more from the back room (not enough wall space).

    Hi,

I have some new items in my small collection

Those documents came from the mjr. dypl. Kazimierz Rozycki commander of
