Monte Cassino Cross reverse Numbered : 8103 was awarded to Kanonier Tadeusz Łazowski, Born 1914, Army Nr : 1914-17-III, Unit 2KPAL, 3DSK.



Monte Cassino Cross reverse Numbered : 4599 was awarded to Bombadier Jan Gurbunow, Born 1921, Army Nr : 1921-7-III, Unit 1KPAL, 3DSK, also awarded the KW.



Monte Cassino Cross reverse Numbered : 27928 was awarded to Plut. Wiktor Wujek, Born 1906, Army Nr : 1906-107-III, Unit 15th Transport Company, 15KZaop, 5KDP.

Monte Cassino Cross reverse Nr : 46528

This Monte Cassino Cross was awarded to : Porucznik (Lieutenant) Roman Brzeziński, Born 1910, Army Nr : 1910-3688-III, Unit 13th Workshop Company.

Artur was correct in the details except the spelling of the Surname :

Rank : Strzelec (Rifleman)

Surname : DENIEUSZ

Christian Name : Stefan Ignacy

Date of Birth : 1914

Fathers Name : Teofil

Army Nr : 1914-126-III

Unit : 17 Rifle Battalion, 5th Kresowa Infantry Division.

In the September 1939 Campaign he was either a Regular or Reservist he was captured by the soviets in Kowel on the 25th September 1939 and joined the Anders Army at Tockoje on the 2nd September 1941.

After the end of the war he came to the UK with his unit and settled in Galashiels in Selkirkshire where he married in 1961 Zuzanna Adamczyk (Born 8-8-1924). He was by then a British Citizen having applied for and granted British Citizenship on the 7th December 1959 whilst working as a Labourer and living at 271 Halliburton Place, Gallashiels, Selkirkshire. The announcement appeared in both the London and Edinburgh Gazette.

Stefan died in 1983, I have not been able to find a death entry anywhere for him, Zuzanna died in the Borders General Hospital on the 23rd November 2010.

Andrzej, can you please confirm the spelling, as the published 3DSK list has it written Łozowski not Łazowski. (I know there are plenty of errors there.)
