Monte Cassino cross

Hello Artur,

Many thanks for your post about Stanisław Michał Branicki, unfortunately he is not listed in the Register of Recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross, the seller of the group did not even specify if the Cross was numbered.

I asked the seller and the MC with Branicki papers is # 37617, so definitely does not belong to Branicki. Branicki was probably a late arrival after Monte Cassino and He went to 3 P.U.

I also informed the seller of the recipient of the Monte Cassino Cross and he has ended the Auction and as listed the MCC separately and the British War Medal and Stars and Paperwork to Branicki also separately.

do you have info of a EDMUND JARECKI , i know he was with my father in polish 2 corps because he eventually sttled in darlington england after the war, more than likely in same regiment.

Many thanks for your post, I have gone through the Register of the recipients of the Monte Cassino Cross there are only 4 Jarecki's listed they are as follows :

1) Bolesław, Born in 1920 served in 5PAPLotn.

2) Marian, Born in 1897 served in 2KZiT.

3) Tadeusz, Born in 1921 served in 16BS, 5KDP.

4) Witold, Born in 1922 served in 3KPAL.

I have also searched through the Kresy-siberia site also with no luck, the only details that I found on Edmund Jarecki Born in 1922 was his death in 1993 in Darlington.

I have not been able to find anything else but if I do come across anything I will let you know Anthony.

thanks andrzej, i am visiting his widow tomorow, to have a look at his 2 corps badges medals etc , maybe i can shed some light on his regiment etc. apreciate your quick respons , will keep u posted
