    During the September 1939 Campaign with his unit on the Tuesday 19th September 1939 crossed the Border into Lithuania, no doubt hoping that they would be soon released to carry on the fight. We all know what happened next, Kazimierz was released from the Gulag in 1941 after the germans invaded the soviet union, he rejoined the Polish Army at Tatiszczewo on the 4th September 1941.

    Dear Andrzejku, the previous list, which had been placed by Artur, was my request concernig the last year initiative of decorating soldiers’ graves. It was done with my friend in Gdańsk and surroundings. The list came from Żdanowicz’s book titled „Śląsk Pamięci Monte Cassino” and I wanted to confirm then that those soldiers were awarded in fact.
