No not to my knowledge, after the war he was barracked at Cannon Hall Barnsley before moving to Huddersfield where he spent the rest of his life.

Date of Birth : 1905
Army Number : (also found on His ID Tags) : 1905-33-III
Unit : 1PUK (1 Pułk Ułanów Krechowieckich im. Pułkownik Bolesław Mościcki) (1st Armoured Regiment)
Monte Cassino Cross Numbered 30141
Wacław Pych served in the 3rd Squadron and was awarded the Regiment Badge Legitymacja Numbered : 965.

Yes you have an original cross although it has been cleaned, removing the original black finish to the Cross.

KW, MW, 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, ID Tags, and Photograph of the Recipient.
Strz. Jan Paczkowski, Born 19th September 1910, Army Number : 1910-43-III, Served in the 1BSK and was awarded the Monte Cassino Cross Numbered : 10443.
After the end of the war he emigrated to Canada and died in New Brunswick on the 11th November 1986.
