    Unit: 6BSK (6th Rifle Battalion, 2nd Rifle Brigade, 3DSK)

    Grave Nr: 13-C-6 at Loreto Polish War Cemetery

    My father was in the 7th Horse Artillery and is the left of the 3 soldiers pictured.
    Not sure where the pictures were taken, presume it's Italy.
    MCC no. 32479.

    May I be the first to welcome you to the Forum and thank you for showing your fathers MCC Legit and photographs.

    All that I can add about your father is his Army Number (also found on his ID Tags): 1924-80-III. with his date of birth 2nd February 1924 and his death in 1997 in Wales.

    Welcome to the forum Richard and thanks for posting those images. The picture of your dad an his buddies having a drink was taken in Palestine (now Israel) as you can see some Hebrew script on a sign behind them. Was probably a cafe/bar in Tel Aviv which was a popular place to visit for allied soldiers particularly the Poles.
