I notice that on some of these entries you are able to include Fathers Name. I'm curious as to why that is some but not all? And do you by any chance have a Fathers Name for MCC 8278?

In answer to your question Ted, if the recipient was captured by the soviets, he will be listed on the website victims of soviet repression, I checked to see if there is a Grzegorz Marynicz listed, but with no luck.

Some time ago I had posted some documents belonging to Cpl Pierdalski , 2nd Battalion Commando.

Here is a scan of a page from Polish Cementary in Bologna, Italy. Looks like he operated under assumed name, perhaps a deserter from German army.

Unit: 13 Kompania Warsztatowa

Konstanty was a pre war soldier arrested in Lithuania on the 19th September 1939 and joined the Anders Army at Tatiszczewo on the 4th September 1941.

Padalski died in a car accident on 26th of April of 1946.
After the exhumation he was buried in Bolonia among his comrades.
He was last victim of Polish Commando.
