Good on you for posting here Phillp
Hello Philip,
I have been able to find the following information on Stanislaw Kondrat, when awarded the Monte Cassino Cross his details where as follows:
Rank: SAPER (Engineer)
Surname: KONDRAT
Christian Name: STANISLAW
Date of Birth: 1916
Fathers Name: IGNACY
Army Number: also found on His ID Tags): 1916-272-III
Unit: Dowodztwo Saperow 5KDP
Stanislaw was arrested by the soviets on the 18th October 1939 in Lwow and joined the Anders Army at Tockoje on the 2nd September 1941.
The only other information that I could find on a Stanislaw Kondrat was that he married in 1955 in Coventry to a Caroline either Tatlow or Hancox, unfortunately both are listed on Ancestry.
The only other information on a Stanislaw Kondrat, that I could find in a rather quick search was from the London Gazette dated 13th April 1954, Issue Number 40141 page 2216. Applied for and was granted British Citizenship: Stanislaw Kondrat, Storeman, Living at 90 Station Street East, Coventry.
Thats all that I could find on Stanislaw Kondrat, I sincerely hope that it is of some use and help to you.
Best wishes
Andrzej

Hello, I have started researching my Grandfathers WW2 history. Unfortunately, on arrival back into the UK after WW2 most of my grandfathers possessions, which included his uniform, medal and papers etc were stolen. He was only left with a few scraps of paper, photos and his regimental badge.
ChrisW01 suggested I posting the Monte Cassino Cross Number number in here to see if I could possibly find it and get it back. Thanks to andrzejku98, I have recently discovered that the medal number was 2310. Anyone with any information or help would be appreciated. Thanks
