Default Polish 2nd Corps Battledress Blouse

    Hi,

Here are photos of a British Pt'40 Battledress blouse to a Lance Sergeant with the Polish 2nd Corps I just acquired. To bad it is missing its pocket badge and its ribbon bar. Am I correct to say that the the collar badges are for an Anti-Aircraft unit (green with yellow piping)? With its modified collar and piped cuffs, I presume this blouse was for Dress. Opinions are welcome.

    Regards, juno44

    Hello Juno, and welcome ..
Now thats a real "looker" of a BD ..

Nice to see the correctly modified "walking out style" .
As ever, the more "classy" looking badges have been sort ... and tailored in 40's fashion to impress the local girls ..

If you look closely, the extra padding in the shoulders normally was sourced from army blankets ..
.... And the collar "opened" to show shirt and tie ..

    Regards
    Gary J.

Very nice Polish BD, a one looker and good to see it still has most of its insignia.

    Michel,
I'm not sure on this one ... (I'm colour blind, so matching fabric colours is not my best subject !!)
..... BUT, I'm sure there will be confirmation soon.

    Hi Juno,

A wonderful BD belonging to an officer cadet (note bullion trim on shoulder straps and cuffs). It has all of the classic elements that one expects to find on a genuine article.

Yes, AA Artillery collar tabs, and also most definitely a best “Dress” tunic.

Congratulation on acquiring a beauty. Definitely a looker and also a cracker!

Thanks for sharing this one with us.

    Cheers,
    Tony
