    Veteran has been robbed.
Help is needed. One of the last remaining Polish Air Force veterans has been robbed of his memorabilia.
Flight Lieutenant Edward Jaworski served on 302, 315, and 317 Squadrons.
He flew a total of 200 combat and 43 operational missions, and was awarded Silver Cross of Virtuti Militari, Polish Cross of Valour and two bars, Distinguished Flying Cross. He is living on retirement in Zielona Góra, Poland.
In 2008 he was contacted by a man claiming to be a Military History Institute's employee, who approached him for some support.
Memorabilia were borrowed by a man claiming to be:
    Andrzej Jankowski,
    Długa 11/6 Cracow,
    phone 124443247,
    mobile 501111214.
    The memorabilia were:
    Pilot's Flying Log Book,
    Distinguished Flying Cross,
    Medal Lotniczy (Air Medal),
    Pro Memoria Medal.
Help is sought in order to identify the man, and stolen memorabilia, which likely found their way to some collection.

What a sad way to treat a man who fought for your freedom.

What a way to treat a True Heroe, I remember when my old friend Jan Kowalski had his DFC, VM, KW stolen, luckily the person who stole it tried to sell it to a medal dealer and was arrested by the police, and Jan got his medals back after which he paid for a jeweller to put his name on all his medals so if stolen again they would be easily identifiable.

I sincerely hope that they are found and returned to Edward Jaworski

Thanks for posting this for us Matt. Not only sad, but also disgusting.

. . . I sincerely hope that they are found and returned to Edward Jaworski
. . . and that the lowlife thief gets what's coming to him.

All collector members here please remember the name of Flight Lieutenant Edward Jaworski and keep watch on the marketplace for any sign of his pilot's log book, which of course will bear his name. All we can do is hope that the decorations can be found along with it. Chances are slim, but there is still a remote possibility of these items surfacing.

    Regards,
