Polish army - France & Portugal

Hi,

Thought of sharing this very interesting set of papers, all belonging to one individual who was in the Polish army, and managed to escape to France around 1939-1940.

His papers start with Polish consulate issued passport, then emergency escape papers to Portugal, where he remained until 1944, leaving to England. After the war he returned back to Poland, in 1947.

Interesting set of Polish army papers as well.

I believe the French 1942 travel document was issued because he could have not used the Polish passport...would have caused problems with the Germans...

When I started collecting passports 6 years ago, I could only find at first Polish examples. And from then onwards I have acquired a strong passion for Second Republic passports: 1918-1922 and 1939 to 1945. I also like issued samples from 1946 to 1951.
