Polish Hat Eagles

Article about: In my opinion this particular cap eagle was made by G.J. Garratt Toronto. Very unique, hard to find.

    One more for today!

I think – a very interesting variant of 40mm Eagle – casted one and „without a small shield of Pilsudski’s Legionaries”.
We have featured some similar (but not identical ones) – previously on the forum.

Michal – thanks for posting this Cadets’ Eagle.
It is very interesting variant and rare too!

I need to upgrade my knowledge re Polish Cadets – teenagers and orphans attached to the Army following forced evacuation form CCCP - in Middle East and Italy during ww2 and get some a) statistic as to the nr and b) details as to the locations where they had been stationed.

If I remember correctly, Cadets had been educated in a few boy’s schools – mostly in Palestine. Some of them took part in Monte-Casino Battle. There had been a few girl’s schools too – but from pictures, looks like only boys had such Eagle.
Again, if my memory serves me well – the schools delivered c3000 graduates.
There are a few good books re Cadets’ – so, when I have some time – I will dig up some more info to go with the Eagle.

    Fellows,
An interesting Eagle – I think.
Cast of the classic Palestinian 1941+ variant

Let’s try to continue with our collective work (that has been very efficient so far) aimed at “categorising / indentifying” some new variants on the basis of fining 2 identical specimens.

Perhaps we going to be lucky again?

    Polish Hat EaglesHello!

Only boys from Cadets schools had this type of eagle. There was much more schoold, for example Junackie Liceum Mechaniczne, or as you told before girls schools. Here is a photo of polish boy from Liceum Mechaniczne, unfortunately not my, found in internet.
