Another sand cast brass eagle. It came from Israel after sitting there for over 60 years. It's not gold but I love it. The Palestine sand cast brass eagles attract a lot of my attention. They have a soul. I wish they could talk.

I have been looking for more information about this particular variation of the PAF Eagle.
Finally the good pictures have come up on the ebay.
The overall pattern is “relatively” popular – I call it “the eagle with the chest mistake” – the stamps must had been broken – see the misplacements / irregularities wrt the layout of feathers on the chest / torso.
However, generally this patterns is seen with the loops fastening (characteristic for badges made in the uk) - this particular variant has the horizontal prongs.
Has any of You got the good / better pictures? – I am very curious to learn more.
From my experience – this variant does not come up that often – but this may be only my perception
