    The officers likely had similar feelings and put an immediate stop to this as it was an explosive issue among the soldiers!

    Found this interesting image at fotohistoria.pl. Don't know if the dog belongs to Gen Anders but seems he/she felt the need to stretch or perhaps bow in deference to Anders arrival and inspection of this unit. Caption reads :
