    I always wonder what happened to these mascots when soldiers move on, one way or another. Dogs are such excellent faithful companions - I hope they weren't left behind and abandoned.

    Hey Stefan in the image titled "Pigmy"... No. 317 "Wilno" Polish Fighter Squadron our mascot is posing next to the same style of bomb tail fins used as furniture in that Polish recreation center in Italy you posted earlier.

    And once again Wojtek. Rumor is he was taught to drive (though briefly) but had difficulty with clutch and shifter. Here he is backing up a FWD HAR supply truck with the help of a transport specialist at a munitions supply dump in Italy prior to the final assault on Ancona

    Bear (even if it is Wojtek!) backing up a truck at a munitions dump....

    oh oh, I think we might have a Bad News Bear's story in the making...
