    Friends
    Thank You for trying

This is the crest of the Paramilitary Organisation called “Pogon”

Organisation was formed secretly in the UK in 1950ts with branches in USA, France, Canada to provide practical military training and military higher education to create the core of the officers’ staff for the Independent Polish Army in the event of cold war becoming an open conflict.

Organisation had approximately 1000 students / members (mainly sons of ex-service men of Army on Exile) and they participated in regular military trainings including the Para / Special Ops training in France with Foreign Legion.

There were 15-20 of them who finished Spec Ops training (15 jumps in 2 at night) – they all received French Para / Spec Op Badge with numbers and all the paper-work that goes with it.

It is believed that KGB / Polish Communist Intelligence tried to penetrate the network with various rate of success. Organisation survived up to 1980+

There is a very good article about Pogon in the “Bulletin” printed by the Polish National Remembrance Institute in Warsaw. It can be downloaded from.

    Instytut Pami?ci Narodowej

Article, unfortunately, is only in Polish. However, there are pictures worth seeing.

I have recently purchased some memorabilia after on of the ex-spec op member.

    This is excellent set .
It is very difficult to get a war time conformation of issue papers for this badge.
Who is the maker ~ Firmin or Guant?

    Congratulations
