I would guess it is Italian made? But I suspect you have thought that too.

    Cheers, Ade.

It probably is Italian, but I wonder why produce this sleeve badge using such an expensive process? This makes me think it is made post-war for decorative parade uniform?
    I collect, therefore I am.

    Hello!

This two piece metal 8th Army was given for soldiers with the same made 2nd Corps patch in special boxes. It's something like souvenir.

    Fellows,

Has anyone got pictures of Podhalanski Regiment of 1 Polish Armoured Divison.
I have been hunting for this badge for year.

Various books seem to sugest 2-3 types of the badge. Main Maker Stainchouer.

Are You aware of a good book about Podhalanski Regiment?
I have read bits in 1 Pancerna w Walce. Regiment took havy casulties during European Campaigne 44/45

1° D.B. Polonaise du Général Maczek
and you click on 3° Infantry Brigade on the left of the page. You have pictures on pages 7 and 12 from this gallery.
To get the badge will be difficult... You will need time...

What exact info are you after on the Baon Strzelcow Podhalanskich? I am currently researching this unit with the hope of writing some articles, a website and maybe a book on the history and uniforms/badges of the batalion.
I have recently come into contact with some veterans and families of the batalion so i might be able to help you a bit.
