    Hi,
To my mind, would say it is a good one...
I am not a specialist of the badges, rather the tunics.
What is the feeling from the other members of the forum ?
Of course, before buying a badge, it is important to compare it with a an original. I have got an original, a friend of mine got two, but I have no picture for the moment.

as I have said already the ONLY way to really know is comparing one with an original one...the hallmarks are a bit lighter..but it took a long time checking one against the other.....I did this at the Sikorski some years ago with some help from the people there.
The other thing.,...it came from Poland..the land of great copies.

Very interesting discussion, especially considering the fact that this specific badge is lying a few feet away from me. A similar badge was, however, up for sale by Numizmatyka in Warsaw some time ago. It went for 1500 USD if I am not mistaken.

Its also rather easy to check if its good, you don't really need to compare them side by side. Just check the weight and measurements, and the details of course. Copies rarely have the same weight or identical dimension when compared to an original. One or both factors will do the trick. Oh did I mention that this badge has been compared to two original badges? And yes, everything matched . No bubbles either I am also curious how many of you have ever seen an original box made by this manufacturer?

    Cheers,
    J

Good to see that it was compared against an orignal to prove it was real, and thanks for the tips in identifying originals from copies !! We constantly need the help of experts in this area.

    Two questions..
    1. Was this the same badge offered to wadowicznic?
Because initially 3DSK said it had not been offered to wadowicznic or anyone else. Some confusion there.
    2. As 3DSK is obviously very knowledgeable on copies, I wonder if he could tell if the AA badge I posted was a copy or not.
    thanks

    Hi Dorava,

I think I already have explained on how an original badge can be identified. Please see above/below (depends on forum display settings) . What I might add is that its more tricky to determine if badges/eagles which were not originaly stamped, are ok (since the fakes are being made in the same way as the originals).

Sadly I am not such an expert as you are giving me credit for. So far I cant give dead certain answers, unlike an expert as yourself, after seeing photos alone. Maybe one day I will, however, be able to reach that level of proficiency but I am not there quite yet.

Wadowicznic promised to get back to me with the name of the person who offered it to him, since it wasn't me or the previous owner. Looking forward to hear back from him

    Cheers,
    J

I would say it looks good enough to be worth examining in greater detail. All the details look alright to me, but then again I am not an expert.

    Cheers,
