Hello TMZ,
With reference to your Post and the photograph shown below
The PAF Officer is Ppor (Later Kpt.) Lek. P1341 Konrad Helmut Wolfgang Bazarnik (Born 3rd June 1913, died 7th September 1985 in Essex), the First Graduate of the Polish School of Medicine in Edinburgh he graduated on the 12th December 1941 (pre 1939 he was a former Kraków Jagiellonian University medical student. After his graduation he joined the PAF and was Medical Officer of 309 Squadron.
By the end of 1949 when the School closed its doors there had been a total of 336 Students who had matriculated 227 had graduated with a Medical Diploma (MBChB) and 19 had gained a Doctorate or MD.
Best wishes
Andrzej
Thanks Andrzej, the missing information is that the photo was (supposedly) taken immediately after Konrad Bazarnik's graduation from the School of Medicine. So a tube containing the certificate makes sense.
