“PSZnZ eagle badge – good or bad?”

Can anyone give me an opinion on this badge?

And welcome to the forum!The eagle looks good to me but to be honest Im not sure.Try checking out the Exile Eagles thread,I think Tony made a post explaining how to identyfy a fake.If you have this at home you can try bending it, originals cant bend from finger pressure alone,fakes do.

Panie Kazik,

Time to weigh in on this one . . . and sorry to say, but my verdict is not positive. There is a marked absence of any real patina or dirt accumulation in the crevices and instead it appears to have undergone a less than successful artificial chemical aging process resulting in an unnatural purplish residue. The threaded post is not of the type found on genuine badges. And the coup de gras is the seam running along the edge. This is something you should never see on a die stamped badge, which this one mimics by virtue of the stamped relief of the reverse.
