    Does anyone have any photos of Volksdeutsche welcoming the Germans into Polish cities in their collections... please post

    Volksdeutsche welcoming the invading Germans into the city of Posen, to the Germans, or Poznan to the Poles. In the background is sign board for "Kantor" or private currency exchange. These still exist in Poznan and of course elsewhere in Poland. In 1939 these businesses were probably owned by Polish Jews.

    I think you might find the "pilots" in the 2nd photograph, are in fact pre-war paratroopers.
