    To revisit the cast 2nd Armoured Div badge discussed earlier, here's one that just popped up on the market, also with the aluminum backing plate. The seller attached some photos from the Sawicki/Wielechowski catalogue showing a similar example.

    looks like that there were variations in the castings. as a matter of interest is the Sawicki/Wielechowski catalogue readily available ?

    Yes, 'they' are. There are two volumes that cover the PSZ badges. The initial offering covers 2nd Republic and PSZ. The second focuses on only the PSZ and adds some badge variants along with award documents, uniform insignia and uniforms, souvenirs, etc. Not error free by any means, but a sporting effort and well worth having on the shelf.
