    Hi James,

It's the badge of the 9th Bolonski Rifles Battalion (of 3rd Carpathian Rifles Brigade of the 3rd Carpathian Rifles Division of the Polish 2nd Corps), covered in the Polish Regimental Badges WW2

    Hi James,
The 9th Rifles Battalion of the 3rd Carpathian Rifles Division entered Bologna on April 21, 1945 as the first Allied unit. The Battalion was later honoured with "Boloński" (Bolognan) title and a coat-of-arms of Bologna became a part of the unit badge.

    Regards,
    Tom
