    Hi guys,

A book I can recommend is called 'Powstanie Warszawskie' the front of the book feature the Polska walcząca symbol, it was published sometime in the late 50's. I have a copy, I'll look up more details of it such as the authors and exact publishing dates tonight. Nice book full of large pictures from the Warsaw Uprising, showing all aspects of it.

Mike, thanks for posting that wonderful ryngraf! Very much in the pre-war Polish patriotic style, worn by many resistance members.

Stephan, wonderful photos! I've been searching for Resistance photos but they rarely come up for sale. Any idea what the patch in the first photo is? I like the last one, all 3 soldiers outfitted with greatcoats and wz.31 helmets

I'll post photos of some armbands and a unit standard later tonight

Unfortunately the photo is not clear enough to help identify the patch design—the only information I have is that these are cavalry scout Bat. of 74 AK PP.

I'll look out for photos with a similar patch, maybe we'll find out. In case anyone was wondering the 74 Pulk Piechoty Armii Krajowej fought in the Okręg Radomsko-Kielecki AK.

Medic armbands and ''Zemsta'' Company standard both made during the Warsaw Uprising. Anyone with photos of Resistance soldiers, items or stories about Resistance members please contribute!

Article is called "Call of the Fallen" and it talks about Polish Underground after 1944. It says that in between 1944-1956 for Free Poland fought about 200 000 to 300 000 soldiers of II nd Republic.

By 1955 : over EIGHT Thousand Death Sentences had been handed out to Underground soldiers, about FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED of them were executed.

Itakdalej, 3mk, 4thskorpion, Cenowski thanks for posting.

Cenowski - I have 'Poland Betrayed: The Nazi-Soviet Invasions of 1939' by Williamson. Its a solid overview of the 1939 invasion. I suspect his new book on the The Polish Underground 1939-1947 will be just as good. Thanks for the heads up.
