Polizei buckle - is the belt original?

This set is being offered for sale at $150. I believe that the buckle is real, but the belt looks a bit 'new' to me. What do you guys think of it?

They are very interesting. It's strange to me that a police belt buckle was important enough to manufacturer at such a late date, but the Germans definitely valued 'law and order.'
