Yes indeed but ...Italian helmets sport just a size number inside or no marking at all, snap buttons are unmarked (US ones are usually marked) , elastic fasteners often have a reddish edge (US ones don’t), the liner is of cowhide (which hardens a lot with use) and the shell is painted (not made of “naturally” coloured olive drab fibre).
Interesting to see the American NSN number on the Cuffia/Headset band at the rear. Despite local differences I am thinking they were built to the same standards regardless of where they were made.
