Some great buckles thanks for posting. Love the gold leaders. One popped up on eBay on a brocade about 10-12 years ago but Bill X beat me to it. Here is a photo my buddy Garry sent me of his Postschutz and Bahnschutz. I think the one on the wide Police style tab is very interesting.

The Two glob SS is on page 219 of Angolia's revised edition. Thomas is your steel gold EM Bahnschutz painted or anodized? I had a painted steel one but I have only seen a few of them. Sent my friend Garry your photos and he loved your collection. Great stuff.

thank You. The golden steel buckle is anodized. Also the brass buckle is gilded.

Regarding the special catch on the aluminium buckle - I know the mentioned SS-prototype, also Luftwaffe-buckles and I remember at least one RAD with this kind of catch. And a few Bahnschutz- buckles in other collections.

Thanks for the reply. I hated to trade off my gold Bahnschutz but sometimes you have to give up something good to get some something I considered better. With any luck I will come across another one.
