This buckle from e-Militaria was shown on a Reichbahn thread on the non combat forum. Interesting but I have my doubts. Maybe someone can bring over a back shot or link over the thread. The insignia has two bent over prongs through a center hole. I seem to remember Angolia shows a EM buckle with an insignia like this.

This is the reverse, a link was given with the other thread.

The wreath is the one as for forestry, which came into being in 1938.
For Bahnschutz their specific buckle already was introduced in 1933.

In Angolia page 480 there is another one with different wreath.

Just my opinion, however this so called Bahnschutz "prototype" appears to be from the same stable of Assmann nonsense and fantasy as the so called RMBO "prototype". The latter has already been discussed on the Forum.

David, I fully do agree with you. Just another bogus/fantasy buckle, which may give the
impression to be original and a prototype to rip off people for money!

This is what I said in the other thread (about Reichsbahn):
Had a look at the link. Seeing the reverse I am convinced even more
the buckle is bogus. Such buckle was also shown in the bigger Angolia,
    but with longer prongs.
The person who believes it is okay should buy it and add it to his collection.

In Angolia you see another wreath.

So good to read some common sense unequivocal comments, thanks! This "forestry type" buckle is of course in current production in Germany for shooting and carnival associations and can be had in silver or gold, neutral or with suitable emblems attached. You will remember the "prototype Generalfeldmarschall" brocade in Catella's book, based on such a buckle? Brocades, too, can be had in any colour combination.

    Kind regards

I know Kurt D, I was looking for a website about such stuff, but as I had
no time and was in a hurry, I did not further look for that.
Many collectors do not know this, and so they even do not know their brocade
is also bogus! The same goes for aiguillettes, thinking to have a generals type,
what is left is it is just one used with carnival!

Good point about the aiguillettes. The carnival societies use all the bling-bling!

    Cheers

No good feelings about the piece at all.
