MOST of Another RAD Buckle!

This oddball is my latest acquisition - as you can see, it seems to have never been finished, and is completely missing all its hardware, and shows NO signs of ever having had any! It's ( extremely ) lightly maker-marked L.G.S. 39. Other than a little hardened crud on the upper right corner of the face and normal wear from being knocked around for the past 74 years, it's pretty "minty". Any opinions as to why it was never finished and issued?

James, nice RAD buckle by Gottlieb could be numerous reasons why it has no prongs or prong sleeve assembley, whatever they are it is still a nice buckle

very nice acquisition .

Gottlieb has two RAD buckles made .

One in light silver finishing anodized and one in grey anodized .

Often found at end of war some unfnished material of some makers .

I have had the opportunity to purchase this buckle from a fellow member...
However, I have a few on the way that ARE EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL...!!!
Pebbling on the Swas and all the trimmings >>> I can't wait to post also my Brocade RaD as well....
