I did notice that, and also that the shovels are slightly different on the tabbed aluminum RADs. I just took a look at them again. Must say that the mint Binder sure has a nice shovel!
Do any fellow members have or seen how these particular buckles were constructed ??
It seems that certain PP RaD buckles are slightly concave on the front leading me to believe
that a process of "Foot" stamping a buckle "Up" into the 4 prongs to secure a fit, (4 prongs into a pre- determined) area, and as a result of this recessed "Dimple" can or may be a trait.. This may have been used as well on Luft, Heer etc; etc; As a PP buckle may or may not have been made on the spot ?? Just my two cents...G
