Gwar, another nice find, in reference to the prongs they look like the OLT type prongs found on fakes (this is not a fake BTW) Early Assmann buckles had this trait and Berge & Nolte used these types of prongs. There is also the option that the prongs were bought in from another manufacturer.

Yes Ben... As you had previously stated in a past thread... The more I handle
the more I may learn. Certain characteristics point in directions that may suggest that a select few
Ludenshied buckle makers may have had a source of materials common to them.
Is it plausible that during the course of manufature, That, perhaps a former employee may have went
to work for a competitor and brought along some knowledge of production procedures
or new processes ?
P.S. The pebbling is quite different to most I have seen...
I am going to study the different schemes of this aspect too...

Nice one Gwar, and certainly different on the backside than my RAD - PP OLC.

Nice buckle, Gwar! Private purchase buckles are underappreciated, in my opinion.
Ben, could this be an early Assman buckle if it doesn't have the typical prong bar crimp?
