    Nice Gustav Brehmer from 1938.
    It is the so-called Behördenausführung.

Overall nice buckle. I wouldn't worry about the hole in the tab. I have a couple of brocades with nail holes and several bayonet frogs. No major damage and it is part of the history of the item. I once bought 12-15 sets of Heer and Luftwaffe collar tabs and shoulder boards that were stuck on a board using hot wax. It was a pain to scrape off but a lot better than glue.

My new TDB was glued to a vets board at one time...these little things don't bother me (too much)...just another step in its journey to my home.

But to each there own. That's why this hobby is great.

    Nice buckle David!

Very nice buckle, in ref the the hole in the tab they used to thread string through them and have a bunch on thread for storage so quite a common sight.
