A couple more relics for the collection

Well lads, its about time I brought another relic ( or two ) into the stable ( or onto the shelf as it were ) so here we go.
First one came out of the Ukraine via Moldovia and is a M35 double decal SE62, lot number 3556 and yes, it has been scrubbed clean - it was caked in mud I was told - but the decals have not been exhumed ..... only the helmet. A nice amount of apple green as well as the decals, it has suffered shrapnel damage to the rear skirt and crown.

I DID ask for its provenance as I don't knowingly collect inappropriately / illegally procured relics but as it passed through several hands before me I really cannot tell. I realise this is a moral dilemma for many but what can one do if relics are ones thing??

The second is a M40 single decal Heer - maker and lot number unreadable - but with a nice remaining decal.It too has suffered shrapnel damage to the brow and rear of the crown which cracked the shell.

My seller says all of these are from the area Heersgruppe Sud saw action in.

Yes Steve, no matter how impractical or space restrictive adding MORE helmets may be, when the offer of one comes up, all logic disappears from my thinking
