    If it is a size 71, be sure that there is NOT a "foot" at the bottom of the "1", as that is a dead give away for a repro. Also, look for a line in the middle of the rolled edge (caused when the rolled edge was hammered during production), as repro shells usually do not have this. These are 2 (of many!!) things I look for when considering a Fallschirmjager helmet. Good luck. Jim G.

    no visible markings on the inside, too rusty..I have doubt about the hole of the rivets, they seems too "deep" to me, also too "high" from the edge....
    I don't know..

    The depth and the height of the holes do not seem out of the ordinary to me from the pictures posted. If you can post a picture of the inner rolled edge that would be helpful. From what I see the shell looks fine, but since there are so many f/j repro's, I always try to check out the problems that are easiest to spot. Jim G.
