Finnish M40 question

Article about: I bought a finnish M40 helmet but mine looks like its a M35 do not know if its a fake or not. It also has 2 stamps EF 68 and 4858 any help would be very appreciated on the 2 stamps. Thank yo

    I bought a finnish M40 helmet but mine looks like its a M35 do not know if its a fake or not. It also has 2 stamps EF 68 and 4858 any help would be very appreciated on the 2 stamps. Thank you for any help you can give.

    Original German ww2 made helmet shell with Finnish post war paint and liner

    Hello,
    EF is the maker : Emaillierwerke AG
    68 is the size of the shell
    4858 means that it's the 4858th shell produced in the lot

    Now that I just hurt my neck by twisting it looking at your helmet, the 4858 is the lot# or sometimes called "heat #" There can be hundreds of helmets exhibiting that lot#. All in all, looks like a real German WW2 shell.
