Default First Winter relic for 2013 has arrived!

    Hello again,

My winter relic helmet has arrived from Europe ( no, not the "other" one ) and as promised earlier, here are some close-up photos.
The decal is no more visible than previously but is still apparent along with original paint ( field grey as well as white ) although no maker stamp can be seen and only a '2' of the lot number is visible.

I am intrigued by the apparent 'burn' mark in the rear skirt entry hole ( red hot shrapnel maybe??? ) and it has already found a place on my 'expanded by necessity' office shelving.

    Cheers, Dan

Hi Dan, nice one looker, nice shelves! Yes that is strange that burn mark. Maybe it was hit by a incendiary round or tracer?

Thanks Doug, yes, a tracer... I hadn't thought of that ( actually doesn't bear thinking of, what a way to go )

    Cheers, Dan

    Thanks James & Paul,

The seller is in Moldova and buys from a digger in the Ukraine and doesn't always get ( or ask for ) the background stories.
I have asked him about this one and hope to hear back.
