So I was thinking - maybe it would be nice to show that emotive of photos - the helmet half exposed or even just dug up by the digger.

These are not mine ( apologies to those who's they are ) but images like these ( to me at least ) are powerful...... no, I don't think they are staged... Anyone got any others they can add?

Is that guy watering them so they will grow?

As these will be photos of relics I will move them to the relics section.

Note this thread has the capability to rapidly degrade once the inevitable pics of human remains being dug up are shown so - pics of helmets ONLY. Any pictures of human remains will be deleted and posters will be given infraction points as I am tired of moderating quarrels on the ethics of digging up gravesites.

Now that I have the ground rules established post away.

Gosh guys, Doug is right. Please don't show anything grisly.
My aim was to have a picture collection of helmets "in the raw" as it were.

Indeed it is Paul, but not coalesced into the one thread. I thought something in the helmet ( or relic ) section would complete the circle rather than just a photo of a rusty helmet without it's link back. I thought it was a fresh idea .......... maybe not?
